CMDK is a browser extension that sits inside your standard Gmail. It adds a Cmd+K (Ctrl+K) command bar, extra keyboard shortcuts, read receipts, snooze, snippets, and a split inbox. It is not a new email app, and there is nothing to migrate.
Gmail's shortcuts are real, and CMDK makes them better. Certain Gmail shortcuts are clunky or need multiple keystrokes (eg. select an email before archiving or deleting). CMDK converts these clunky steps into one-keystroke shortcuts. You get new navigation shortcuts, and CMDK teaches you these shortcuts as you use Gmail every day. The full native vs CMDK list is on the shortcuts cheat sheet.
People who live in Gmail and want to be faster at it. Founders, business owners, executives, VCs, lawyers, sales & support reps, and users from Superhuman and Shortwave. We have seen Superhuman users successfully move back to Gmail after using CMDK.
There is no mobile app yet, so if you mostly live in Gmail on your phone, CMDK will not help. It is also the wrong tool for shared team inboxes, cold-email sequences, or Outlook.
No. CMDK runs locally in your browser. It does not upload your email contents to our servers, and it does not put any new AI in your inbox. It only acts on Gmail when you trigger something (archive, snooze, send with a read receipt, and so on).
Yes. 15 days, every feature, no credit card. If you do not stay, you are not charged. Plans after the trial are on the pricing page.
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Dia, Comet, Atlas, Shift and other Chromium browsers. Firefox from Firefox Add-ons. Safari on Mac from the Mac App Store. Same features on each.
No limit. You can use CMDK with as many Gmail inboxes as you want, and switch between them with a shortcut or the command bar.
Install it and use Gmail as you already do. It is free for 15 days with all features included, and no limits. No credit card required and you can uninstall the extension in a minute. How to uninstall.
