Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to use the Gmail shortcut “Mark as important”:

1. First, open your Gmail account in your web browser.

2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen and select “See all settings” from the dropdown menu.

3. In the Settings menu, click on the “General” tab.

4. Scroll down until you see the section labeled “Keyboard shortcuts”.

5. Set the Keyboard shortcuts option to “Keyboard shortcuts on”.

6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save Changes” button.

7. Now, you have enabled keyboard shortcuts in Gmail.

9. Press the “+” key on your keyboard to mark the selected email as important.

10. You will see a yellow exclamation mark next to the email, indicating that it has been marked as important.
