🚨 Simplehuman is now CMDK   |   New name. Same mission.  Read More.

This shortcut hands Cmd/Ctrl + F back to your browser so you can search the text on screen. Inside an open email it jumps to any word on the page, which is faster than re-reading a long message to find one detail.

CMDK transforms your Gmail into a keyboard first experience, not just transforming existing Gmail keyboard shortcuts but also adding new ones for you to be 2x faster at email. CMDK also adds a command bar, natural language snooze, split inbox with Tabs, one-click email nuke, and easy account switching tools. It reduces your reliance on the mouse, getting you into a state of flow as you use Gmail everyday.

Now that you’ve enabled keyboard shortcuts in Gmail, here’s how to use the Find shortcut:

2. A small cursor will appear in the search bar at the top of the page.
3. Type in the keyword or phrase you want to search for in your emails.
4. Press Enter on your keyboard to execute the search.
