Search mail Gmail Shortcut Tutorial

To use the Gmail shortcut Search mail, first, you need to enable keyboard shortcuts in Gmail. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do that:

1. Open your Gmail account in a web browser.
2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
3. Select “See all settings” from the dropdown menu.
4. Go to the “General” tab.
5. Scroll down until you find the “Keyboard shortcuts” section.
6. Click on the radio button next to “Keyboard shortcuts on” to enable keyboard shortcuts.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save Changes” to apply the settings.

Now that you have enabled keyboard shortcuts, here’s how you can use the Search mail shortcut:

1. Press the “/” key on your keyboard while in your Gmail inbox.
2. This will activate the search bar at the top of the screen.
3. Type in your search query (e.g., a specific email address, subject, or keyword) and press “Enter” to search for emails matching your criteria.
4. You can also use additional search operators such as “from:”, “to:”, “subject:”, etc., to narrow down your search results.
